The Free Range Pastor (TFRP) is sustained by a community marked by deep fellowship in the Gospel and long-standing relational accountability. These are people who have walked with Ken through decades of ministry—across seasons, churches, joys, and trials—and who continue to believe in his pastoral calling and champion the mission of the Free Range Pastor.
This circle of advisors includes friends, sages, counselors, business leaders, churchmen and churchwomen, artists, economists, entrepreneurs, small-business owners, designers, homemakers, teachers, nonprofit board members, CEOs, pastors, elders, and deacons.
Each brings unique wisdom, perspective, and expertise.
Their role is both supportive and strengthening.
They offer encouragement, prayer, resources, and counsel—but they also speak truthfully, set boundaries, and help keep Ken’s ambitions, emotions, and ego grounded in Christlike humility.

Many of us have worshiped alongside one another in local churches, served on staff teams, sessions, and committees,
and shared a particular burden for those outside the traditional boundaries of the Church—especially those lost at her margins.
This advisory community is part of the fabric that keeps TFRP rooted, accountable, and spiritually healthy as he pastors people in everyday places.

Every advisor serves across four core areas of care and oversight:
• Organization & Business
• Finance & Budgeting
• Shepherding & Credentialing
• Personal Life & Family
Together, they help tend both the ministry and the man.
They share the core values of the mission and invest their talents,
experience, and resources. Advisors also offer friendship and community
to the Leggett family as they work together in the ministry.
Advisors help provide clarity and direction by reviewing TFRP’s mission,
goals, business practices, and finances.
They offer wise counsel, ask thoughtful questions, and help
ensure faithfulness and sustainability.
They extend the reach of TFRP by sharing its mission in
their personal and professional circles, opening doors, making introductions,
and inviting others to engage and support the work.
They provide spiritual support by praying for
Ken, the Leggett family, and the people served through TFRP.
Advisors participate actively in the mission by encouraging
through presence, words, and action.
